The MiniSeq System is a benchtop-sized Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) platform from Illumina that enables high-quality sequencing using low input sample volumes. 

The system integrates software for instrument control, image analysis, and base calling. MiniSeq uses Illumina’s well-established sequencing-by-synthesis (SBS) technology, which relies on reversible-terminator nucleotides labeled with fluorescent dyes. These allow real-time monitoring of nucleotide incorporation into strands being sequenced, simultaneously across millions of different DNA fragments.
