At Quality Assistance, we analyse medicines to ensure their safety, quality and efficacy. We apply the same level of rigour to managing your browsing data. This page explains the types of cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can stay in control.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. It enables the site to remember your actions and preferences for a certain period, so you don’t have to re-enter them each time you visit.

Types of cookies we use

We limit the use of cookies to what is strictly necessary to provide you with a smooth, secure and optimised experience.

1. Functional cookies (mandatory)

These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the site, such as security and displaying information. They do not collect any personal data for commercial purposes.

  • eu-consent: Stores your cookie consent choices.
    Retention period: 6 months.
  • CRAFT_CSRF_TOKEN: A security cookie (specific to Craft CMS) that helps prevent security breaches when submitting forms.
    Retention period: Session.
  • CraftSessionId: Keeps your session active while you navigate between pages.
    Retention period: Session.

2. Content-related cookie (mandatory for resource access)

This cookie is required to streamline access to our expert documents (studies, protocols, etc.).

  • resourceDownload: Indicates whether you have already accepted the access conditions for downloading our resources.
    Retention period: 1 year.

3. Audience measurement and analytics cookies (subject to your consent)

Our goal is to improve the relevance of our scientific information and services. To do this, we measure site traffic anonymously.

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), the latest version of this analytics tool. GA4 is designed to better respect user privacy by relying less on third-party cookies.

Purpose: To understand how you navigate our site, which service pages (bioanalysis, method validation, etc.) are most visited, and where our visitors come from.

Main cookies:

  • _ga: The primary identification cookie. It generates a random identifier that does not allow us to identify you personally but helps determine whether you are a new or returning visitor.Retention period: 14 months (maximum data storage duration without activity, configurable by the tool).

Data minimisation principles: Data collected by GA4 is processed in compliance with GDPR requirements. We have configured the tool to minimise identifiers and focus on aggregated statistics (group behaviour).

Manage your preferences

You have full control over non-essential cookies and can change your mind at any time.

  • Via our consent banner: On your first visit, or by clicking [Link/Button to settings], you can choose to enable or disable audience measurement cookies (section 3). Your choice is stored by the eu-consent cookie.
  • Via your browser: You can configure your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) to block all cookies or alert you when a cookie is sent. Please note that blocking technical cookies (sections 1 and 2) may impair the site’s functionality.

Compliance and commitment

Our cookie management complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any questions regarding your personal data, please contact us directly.
