Géry Van Vyncht is Scientific Director in the R&D and Innovation Department at Quality Assistance, where he leads scientific, technical, and regulatory initiatives focused on innovative biological entities, vaccines and immunotherapy products. His work involves the implementation of advanced analytical technologies to address the evolving challenges of the biopharmaceutical industry.

Géry holds a PhD in Analytical Sciences/Biochemistry from the University of Liège, complemented by a postdoctoral fellowship in mass spectrometry at the Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements (EC-JRC IRMM) in Geel.

He began his career at the University of Liège in the Mass Spectrometry Unit of the Department of Chemistry in 1991 before joining Quality Assistance in 2001. Over the years, he has held various leadership roles, including R&D Director (2013–2016) and Scientific and Operations Director (2009–2012). From 2016 to 2021, he worked at GSK Vaccines as Senior Manager in Product Analytics and Analytical Industrialisation, where he led global analytical strategies and lifecycle management for candidate vaccines.

Géry is a member of the A3P Innovation Commission on Bioprocesses and has contributed to the SFSTP working group on impurities in biological active substances.
