We are looking for a student in one of the following fields: Electromechanics, Industrial Engineering (mechanical, electromechanical, or process-oriented), Industrial Management / Management Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Data / Digitalization (or equivalent), Pharmaceutical orientation or laboratory environment.
Join our Qualifications team and contribute to two hands-on improvement projects:
- A project focused on structuring and monitoring the installed power of analytical equipment
- A 5S project aimed at improving the organisation, safety and clarity of HPLC/UPLC cable installations
Internship Description
Management of Equipment Power
As regulations and tax requirements related to industrial equipment power continue to evolve, our company aims to improve the way installed power is tracked and managed.
This project is designed to ensure reliable, structured, and sustainable control of equipment data (power, status, evolution), supporting both regulatory compliance and asset management.
You'll be in charge of:
- Conducting a literature review on regulations related to industrial power taxation in Belgium (Wallonia)
- Defining clear and consistent calculation rules
- Collecting technical data from equipment
- Identifying a suitable tracking tool
- Entering and structuring technical data in the selected system
- Implementing a process to manage lifecycle changes (new equipment, removal, power updates)
5S Optimization of HPLC/UPLC Cables and Associated Detectors
As part of our continuous improvement approach, this project focuses on applying 5S principles to enhance the organisation, readability, and safety of HPLC/UPLC installations.
The objectives are to:
- Reduce risks of incorrect connections and errors
- Improve efficiency during maintenance, troubleshooting and qualification activities
- Ensure a clean, structured, and standardised working environment
- Sustain best practices through visual standards and clear documentation
- Maintain and update a reference list of system configurations (chains and detectors)
You'll be in charge of:
- Performing an initial assessment and identify gaps
- Reorganising installations using 5S principles
- Implementing visual standards (labelling, colour coding, structured layout)
- Developing maintenance guidelines and procedures
- Providing practical improvement recommendations
You will be supervised by the Technical Leader of the Lab Support Equipment team and the Manager of the Qualifications team. You will work in a laboratory equipped with modern analytical instruments. You will also benefit from training and exposure to maintenance and qualification activities across various equipment.

- Position combining administrative work (including significant data entry) and field activities
- Driving licence and personal vehicle required (site not easily accessible by public transport)
